چکیده

Introduction Limited studies have suggested that calprotectin may take part in the pathophysiology of community-acquired pneumonia (CAP). Nevertheless, there is no clinical study analysing role S100A8 CAP patients. The objective this was to analyse association serum with severity and determine cut-off values for predictive power based on a cross-sectional study. Material methods A total 200 patients 100 normal subjects were recruited. Demographic data, information, collected admission. inflammatory cytokines detected using ELISA RT-PCR. All statistical analyses performed SPSS 19.0. Results Serum increased gradually parallel scores. positively correlated scores, blood routine parameters, cytokines. Furthermore, univariate multivariate logistical regression revealed positive associations between CRB-65, PSI, CURXO. Moreover, capacity determined by ROC curve analysis. area under curves 0.855 0.893, respectively. Mechanistic analysis found knockdown alleviated streptococcus pneumoniae-evoked A549 cells. Conclusions admission associated CAP. alleviates cells, indicating exert significant effect could be an early diagnostic biomarker

792Predictors of viral pneumonia in patients with community-acquired pneumonia

BACKGROUND Viruses are increasingly recognized as major causes of community-acquired pneumonia (CAP). Few studies have investigated the clinical predictors of viral pneumonia, and the results have been inconsistent. In this study, the clinical predictors of viral pneumonia were investigated in terms of their utility as indicators for viral pneumonia in patients with CAP. METHODS Adult patient...

The current study included 1,511 consecutive hospitalised patients with CAP. Of these, 610 (40%) patients had an established aetiology. One pathogen was demonstrated in 528 patients and 82 (...
